Help build a more navigable and connected community.

Community Rolodex is developing a human-supported way for people to find realistic community resources, understand where to start, work through barriers, and receive follow-up when a referral or connection does not go as planned. We are also building groups, volunteer opportunities, Community Wish support, and partnerships that can help bridge practical gaps around access.

Community Rolodex is still in a pilot and development stage.

Support at this stage helps us test the model carefully, strengthen the infrastructure behind it, learn from real community experiences, and understand what is needed before larger-scale growth.

Funding can also help Community Rolodex support the work already happening across the community. Rather than duplicating services, we hope to help address some of the gaps around access, transportation, follow-through, communication, and connection so local nonprofits and providers can remain focused on the services they are best equipped to provide.

Donations, grants, sponsorships, and future contracts do not purchase referrals, resource rankings, endorsements, verification status, or preferred placement. Community Rolodex recommendations are intended to remain independent of who funds the work.

Any language about tax deductibility will reflect Community Rolodex’s current legal and fiscal status. We will not represent a contribution as tax-deductible unless the appropriate structure is in place.

GET INVOLVED

Community Rolodex is being built with community input, shared knowledge, and collaboration. There are several ways to take part, whether you want to test the pilot, join a group, share professional or lived experience, submit a resource, volunteer, make an introduction, sponsor a practical need, or support the work financially.

PILOT PARTICIPATION

Community Rolodex is beginning with a small number of community and professional relationships so we can test navigation, referral follow-through, group models, and practical support carefully. Organizations interested in participating in the pilot can contact us to discuss fit, population, workflow, expectations, and what would be most useful to learn together.

JOIN A GROUP

As pilot capacity becomes available, Community Rolodex will offer navigation groups designed to help people work through next steps, barriers, and community options together. Some groups may focus on general life navigation, while others may support areas such as career preparation or specific community needs.

SHARE EXPERTISE

Providers, social workers, educators, nonprofit leaders, community members, and people with lived experience can help us identify missing information, common barriers, and questions the resource system should be able to answer. Community Rolodex is designed to become stronger by bringing together different forms of knowledge rather than relying on one person or organization to know everything.

SHARE OR UPDATE A RESOURCE

Know a helpful local resource or see information that needs correction? Submit it for review. Accurate community information depends on people helping us notice when programs change, services expand, eligibility shifts, or new barriers appear. Inclusion or recommendation is never purchased, and submission does not guarantee preferred placement.

VOLUNTEER

As the pilot grows, volunteer opportunities may include resource verification, community outreach, event support, administrative help, Community Wish support, and practical gap-bridging for people trying to access services.

For example, someone may already qualify for groceries, diapers, or another resource through a local nonprofit but be unable to pick it up because of transportation, childcare, work schedules, or limited time. When appropriate and coordinated responsibly, volunteers may help bridge that gap so existing resources can actually reach the people they are meant to support.

The goal is not to duplicate the work of local organizations. Community Rolodex hopes to help with the gaps around access, communication, follow-through, and connection so service providers can stay focused on the work they are best equipped to provide.

PARTNER WITH COMMUNITY ROLODEX

We welcome conversations with nonprofits, providers, businesses, funders, and community organizations interested in referral pilots, navigation partnerships, group sponsorship, volunteer collaboration, practical community support, resource-system improvement, or helping a defined population access navigation.

Partnership does not have to mean a formal contract. Sometimes it may simply mean sharing information, making introductions, identifying a recurring barrier, or finding a practical way to work together.

SUPPORT THE WORK

Financial support can help fund human navigation, groups, resource verification, technology and data infrastructure, pilot evaluation, outreach, volunteer coordination, and practical community access. Sponsorship may also help cover group participation, Community Wish needs, or other barriers that prevent someone from using an existing resource.

Financial support does not purchase referrals, endorsements, rankings, verification status, or preferred placement. Community Rolodex recommendations remain independent of who funds the work.
